Frequently Asked Questions
What is efoiling?
An E-Foil is short for Electric Hydrofoil Surfboard, which has an electric motor and wireless Bluetooth controller, allowing riders to glide across the water on an oversized surfboard and above the water utilizing the hydrofoil wing underneath the water.
What is the minimum age to ride?
We recommend participants be 12 years of age and older. However, with parent consent, we will accommodate children under 12 years old, on a situational basis, who have previous watersports experience.
Where are you located?
Our primary beach location is on Grace Bay Beach in between Grace Bay Club and Club Med, in-front of the Royal West Indies Resort. We change locations to Long Bay Beach, Sapodilla or Leeward depending on where the best conditions are each day based on the wind speed, swell size and direction and tide levels.
How Long Is The Session?
All Rentals are booked by the hour, the time is designated for the riding time on the water. First time rider bookings require an additional 30 minutes of beach instruction before the hour rental starts. Suggest guests allocate 90 minutes for the excursion and arrive 30 minutes before the start of their rental.
Do You Provide Transport?
We do not currently provide transport. Guests will have to organize a taxi to drop them off and pick them up after their lesson.
Can We Come To You?
If you are staying at a private villa that has access to the beach or canals then you can book a private lesson where we come to your location. If not, you will have to come to our operating location designated for that day.
Does The Guest Need To Know How To Swim?
Yes. You will be spending your time in the water and can expect to fall as you learn. Being comfortable in the water and knowing how to swim is required. For those who are not strong swimmers, all riders are equipped with a mandatory Coast Guard Approved Life Jacket to help keep them afloat in the water.
Is Previous Watersports Experience Required?
You do not need any previous experience to ride. Most first-time guests, regardless of prior watersports experience, are up riding in a standing position by the end of their first hour rental. Of course, any previous board sport experience will help with your balance, we tell guests the balance is more like that of a paddleboard rather than a kiteboard, surfboard or wakeboard.
